Lean Software Development - Principles and Applications: Studying lean software development principles and their applications in optimizing workflows, reducing waste, and enhancing value delivery
Keywords:
Lean Software Development, Agile, Software DevelopmentAbstract
Lean software development (LSD) principles have emerged as a powerful approach to streamline software development processes, optimize workflows, and enhance value delivery to customers. This paper provides a comprehensive analysis of LSD principles and their applications in the software development industry. We begin by defining LSD and exploring its origins in lean manufacturing. We then delve into the core principles of LSD, including eliminating waste, amplifying learning, empowering the team, delivering as fast as possible, and building integrity in. Next, we examine real-world applications of LSD in various software development contexts, highlighting its effectiveness in improving productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction. Additionally, we discuss challenges and limitations associated with implementing LSD and provide recommendations for successful adoption. Through this research, we aim to provide valuable insights for software development practitioners and organizations seeking to enhance their development processes through lean principles.
