Abstract

Automated testing has become an integral part of software development, offering numerous advantages such as improved test coverage, faster feedback cycles, and reduced manual effort. This paper provides an overview of automated testing techniques, tools, and frameworks, focusing on their role in enhancing software quality and development efficiency. We discuss various automated testing approaches, including unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing, highlighting their benefits and challenges. Additionally, we explore popular automated testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, Appium, and JUnit, discussing their features and suitability for different testing scenarios. Furthermore, we examine emerging trends in automated testing, such as AI-driven testing and shift-left testing, and their impact on software development practices. By leveraging automated testing techniques, tools, and frameworks, organizations can achieve higher test coverage, faster release cycles, and improved software quality.
